Some pictures of my home office 650 Gallon Reef built by Exotic Aquatics. I recently moved and had to migrate my 90G and 92G Corner Reef into my new home, so I decided to get a bigger tank to leave room for the coral to grow large and for my Achilles Tang. The dimensions of the tank are 11.5 ft x 3 ft x 3ft. About 650 Gallons total volume. The tank is GLASS!!! (Acrylic and Glass Exhibits out of TX) So no worries about scratches and so far that decision has paid off well when trying to setup the rock and migrate the coral. The aquarium is also double sided for viewing in the hallway and in the office. Setting up two views is like stocking two aquariums! Other Specs are:
Custom 72in x 22in refugium
4 Vortech MP40 pumps for current
5 250W HQI Metal Halide lamps running 14K Phoenix bulbs (Just switched from Ushio 20K)
6 Ecotech Radion LED fixtures networked for custom programming
2 EcoPlus 2245 pumps for water flow
1/3 HP JBJ Artica Chiller
1000W JBJ Heater (Never needed)
Water turnover is 4000+ gallons per hour.
My old tanks looked very full of coral but after moving everything to the new aquarium. Now it looks pretty empty but I am hoping the coral colonies grow quite large with the space. I also used "Real Reef" live rock for the first time instead of wild harvested live rock. The coloration is beautiful.
