I currently have 2 MJ 1200's in my tank but still feel along with the return i'm not getting enough movement/flow in my tank. Is a Tunze 6060 to much flow for my tank? My tank is 3 weeks old with LR/LS and i'm about to add corals but want good flow. The 6060 puts out 1600gph which sounds like alot???

Well, the most obvious answer is that it depends on what you want to keep. I am putting together a mostly LPS Oceanic 135g and I just purchased two of the 6000's with the 7095 controller. A lot of people are using this setup in tanks of your size. The advantage is that you can control the speed.

ive got a 6100 along with 2 mj 1200's in my 90; not enough flow, im still planning to add more.

Let me put it this way from a flow prespective, if i was doing this all over would the 6000's with control be the way to go for my 90 gal rank? MJ's are cheap so i don't mind switching to a Tunze set up just want to do it right. If i went with the 6000's how woud you place them in the tank?

I would place one in each back corner and use the multicnotroller to find a suitable flow program. Usually Interval 2 is best.

Would you point them towards the front of the tank or at each other? And do you fell that it would not over power the tank?

Generally angled to the front center or opposite corner. It would not overpower the tank because you can dial in the flow rate and only run one at a time if you choose. It really depends alot on the inhabitants. What is overpowering for SPS is far different from a Frogspawn.

Sorry to keep asking question but i want to do this right and i'm new in the SW world so i don't know, what i don't know....

What about using the Stream (1) 6000 + 7091 Single Controller and using the 2 MJ 1200's in some type of set up?

That is another possibility as is buying 1 6000 and no controller and trying that out and deciding if you need a second pump before purchasing the controller, or buy 1 6000 and a multicontroller so you can expand later.

If i did the 600 with the single controller would it make sense to have shoot down the length of the tank and position my MJ to hit dead zones?

That could work, just keep in mind that the 6000 uses half the power of one MJ 1200 so the advantage in heat production is pretty substantial and I might recommend holding off on a controller and trying a pump alone as I said before.

Thanks for the PM. If i go with the one 6000 for now w/o controller per your message how should i position in the tank?
