I just purchased a 2 Inch Blonde Naso Tang for my aquarium and she is the only one of the bunch that isn't interested in acclimating with no issues. She spent most of the 1st and 2nd day staying inside the rockwork and not eating. Day 3 toward the end of the day she has spent the later part of the day slowly hanging out in the open but still not eating. My main question is what is your go to food for enticing tangs to eat? How aften do you feed your tangs and what amount?

Those guys are notorious for not eating. I gave up trying to get one. On a side note I hope you have a HUGE tank, at least 6 feet long if not 8 feet. Those guys get over 1 foot in length

Nutramar ova, cyclopleeze or anything live like brine. At 2" she isn't a "she", they won't sex for another couple inches

I have already tried nori and pellets and still nothing. To make things worse I have not been able to find a local retailer of live Brine Shrimp for the last week.

A juvenile Bluespine Unicorn Tang (Naso Unicornis, related to your Naso Lituratus) that I was boarding ate cyclopeeze and ova. Along with some other frozen preparations too.

Still nothing. Just tried some live brine shrimp, different pellets and more nori and still nothing. I am at a loss and hope the writing isnt on the wall for this beutiful specimen.

Oh! Try feeding him living (not dry sheets) Ulva, Graciliaria, Sargassum, Dictoya, Etc! The juvenile Naso Unicornis I was having trouble to get eating (but once eating ate pretty much anything) went straight for macros growing around my tank! If you can get any sort of non calcified macroalgae, go for it! All the tangs I've had couldn't resist it! I got some brown macroalgae from my LFS's tank for free. Rubberband it to a rock as well, which is how they eat it in the wild, just without the rubber band.
