Cool. I've noticed that alot of my LFS have been getting those as well. If you don't mind, what'd you pay and what did they say it was?

Over hear they didn't what it was called, but they were $100.

Looks like a Balano to me. There are a couple others that I have seen like that too. D. Arbusculas have more color on their tentacles.

Those bubbles are the nematosists. They are used to sting prey for the coral to eat. The are excentuated because the tentacles are clear.

I tried to look it up on AIMS, but they seem to be down right now.

Alot of these multi polyp small colonies have been coming in lately in Northern Cal. Nice pickup.

I got some just like that, they are really small right? Mine are tiny, smaller than the eraser at the end of a pencil. I think mine might have been dendrophyllia wellsi.

Viper 930 might know what it is. He knows a lot about dendrophylid corals.

Almost all corals in the family Dendrophyllidae are azooxanthelae, so they don't have the symbiotic algae. I'm fairly certain it is the corals nematocysts, you can see similar bumps on most corals that need to be fed.

I think they are talking about the air bubbles trapped in the Cyno and/or dyno!

These are being imported as tubastrea and I don't think anyone has a TRUE ID for them yet that I have seen. Either way $35 is a steal. I have noticed they don't seem to be open as much as my dendro's but they could still be acclimating to the tank and lighting
