Lousy pic of my newest addition (thanks Jeff T!)

The honeymoon is over as he schooled my purple tang pretty good. Peace has once again settled.

By far my favorite fish. Looks good jeff, hope you have better success with yours than I had with mine. Mine got super aggressive towards my sailfin that he eventually wouldn't even let me out of a cave, and that was in a 180. I had to net him and trade him in.

where did you get him?

Got 'em from Jeff Trout.

Nice fish, and a purple tang too? A couple of my favorites there.

Yeah, currently have a yellow, purple, hippo and now the sohal. If I can pull of the upgrade I am planning, I would like to add a few more, possibly a school of yellows.

any word on the wages?

I looked yesterday and couldn't find it. I know its seasonal but I could swear the walmart here carries it year round.

He's showin' that type of aggression already. However, its not as bad because there are multiple tangs. So far they share the aggression. Surprisingly my hippo has put him in his place a few times.

After 3hrs of fishing in my tank i was finally able to catch my 5inch hippo today. He had become a terror to all new and established tankmates. no matter how much you fed him he always was agressive at ever other fish. he finished off TJ' well established powder blue in 5 hrs. Once he started being aggressive at my new watanabe angel that was it. He is gone for good to my LPS tank and will be added last. i love the sohals but this kind of aggressive behaviour is keeping me from putting one of them in my tank.

I am very Darwinian in my approach to my tank. However, there have been times I have been forced to remove a trouble maker. I have also found aquascaping has a lot to do with aggression. By utilizing pillars, there is equal swimming room in the front and behind my rockwork. This allows everyone to break eye contact and escape from an aggressor.

It's my hope to upgrade tanks in the next few months which would also help.
