In the past I have used a Kent Marine Nautilus Turbo Eductor Protein Skimmer, somewhere in the move it did not show up, not a big deal since it was just a marginal performer and had a tendency to want to float in the sump. I have been reading alot of skimmers and I am considering a AquaC EV400 using a Mag-Drive 24, I mentioned it in an earlier post anyone have any experiance with this model?

I am also considering a wave maker in this tank I am considering the Tunze® Wavebox 6212/6212.50 Wavemaker I have read alot of good comments about this product but have no experiance with them any thoughts?

You might look into a GEO for a skimmer he will build to your specs also. I have been very happy with mine for years. I know there are others who have used them. I think others here are using ASM with mods to them. I will let them chim in. As for the Tunze I can't speak enough of how much I like their products and support just wish they were cheaper.

You might also take a look at the Octopus line of skimmers. They are reported to be good performers and affordable.

I had a Deltec MCE600 and sold it to purchase a Octopus DNW-200 (recirculating). The Octopus pulls alot out and is very consistent. I have done the mesh mod on it but it also performed well right out of the box. It pulls as well as any high end skimmer I have seen for far less $$$.

I've been very happy with my geo beckett. With the correct pump finally determined my etss 800 did very well also.
