I have a pair of ocellaris clowns that have been together with no aggression for about a month and a half. The female is about 6 years old and the (presumably) male was a CB clown about at about 1.5"-2". I introduced him in a breeders box due to some aggression issues in the past when introducing small males to older female clowns. There was no aggression and they got along fine. I did not see any of the "submissive shutter".
I added a medium RBTA to the tank on Friday. The female found it within 10 minutes and the male found it by the next morning. Today I noticed some aggression towards the female from the male. This has resulted in some injuries to the female, see the attached photos. (Pardon the crap photos, I just used my phone.)
The female has gone back at the male and he's done the submissive shutter multiple times, but after a short break, he's back at it.
Any thoughts?
