New anemone contracting

So my wife picked up an anemone the other day. It looked fairly healthy when she brought it home, aside from a bit of color loss. It moved about 6" from where it was placed in the tank and stuck there within a couple hours of introducing it. Unfortunately it faces the rear of the tank, but I'm not going to disturb it for now. It has been eating nicely since it was introduced a week ago (mysis and silversides) and my black ocellaris hosted it almost immediately. Below is a video of it eating (excuse my wife and her sister's novice-ness as I was not there when this video was taken).

Today, though, she got home from work and sent me these pictures (sorry for quality, sent from phone)

She immediately thought it was dying so I tried to tell her that it was probably just contracting to expel it's wastes. However, I'm fairly new to anemone's myself so I figured I would ask RC.

first...I recommend no longer feed silversides. (do a search here and you will understand why) Feeding small amounts of mysis will be fine for that small an anemone.
if you just added your nem to your tank the other day then it is in the process of acclimating itself to your system (both the water conditions and the lighting)
you best to let be be for now and keep an eye on it over the next week or so.
it is hard to know for certain but it may be just reacting to being fed so hopefully it will bounce back quickly.
If you see a brown slim being expelled from its mouth, don't be alarmed as that would just be it "pooping"...

leave it be for now and give it time to settle in...

GL :)

thanks. it's funny not long after I finished posting that it came right back out to normal, so it must have just been releasing wastes.

Why do you say not to feed silversides? all the guides I have read say that it is one of the best foods. I also have been feeding it mysis and just bought some marine cuisine that I will begin feeding with. I'm curious as to why you say not to feed silversides though?
