New anemone splitting?

Hey y'all

I finally found a GBTA near by that looked healthy, though slightly bleached. I brought him home and acclimated and introduced. Of course, he went into hiding for a few days and is now out. Today (4th Day), the anemone has accepted food and ate a piece of krill. However, now he is gaping wide open and looks like he is in the middle of splitting.

I guess my question is if an anemone is usually gaping whilst it splits?
