Thanks; been waiting for them since May :D

The male is a little bit over 6"; the female is about 4". I was told the face don't turn blue till they get to 7+"

Is this right?

Nice fish. What size tank will they ultimately be living in?

They are going into a nano ocean :D

Roughly 718 Gallons (96" X 48" X 36")

Awesome looking pair.
Are they reef safe?

From what I have read; they are suppose to be reef safe. So far so good :D

The female is a bit mouthy; but she is pretty gently. I saw her transport a couple of my hermit crabs without any incident :D

The reason I was asking what size tank they are going into is because I have always wanted a pair myself but decided that a 225g was waaaaaaaaaaay too small for them since they need a lot of open swimming space and they get to be pretty big. Maybe once I upgrade to my next tank (500g), then I'll get to have them. Very nice fish and happy reefing.

Hi Tangwich,

I feel the same way; I want to make sure they have alot of open space to swim in. That is why the tank will be 36" tall. I know that don't come close to what they are use to; but it has to do for now :D

Triggers are some of my favorite fish. Especially Xanthichthys since they're planktivores. :p

Not too sure how Tomini friendly they are. Check out the bit mark on this poor guy
