Up on LA for $400 now...for whoever snags it, I heard they grow quick, and I accept frags as a finders fee ;)

Hehehehe, I finally snagged one today...not that one, but a differnet one for a bit less dinero. I have tried unsuccessfuly for a few weeks now to get one of these but with the job and other folks being way to quick for me I was unable to get one. I love A. echinata. Hmmm, that one is still available...or was a while ago when I last looked, the other three were gone in the first 10 minutes. Could it be the price tag?? It sure is gorgeous...but I noticed some tips look a little roughed up and passed it up for a different one.

I wouldnt call that a new coloration.... They are hard to take care of but they are well worth it IMO.

I wonder how much a multicolored one will go for, Im holding out for a blue/yellow combo or a green/purple. I know they are in the ocean and its just a matter of time :)

They also brown out and die very quick - A killer piece for the collection, though.

Have you had this experience with the Aussie variety? Rumor has it LA has been having success aquaculturing the white/blue Aussie echinata, and will be releasing it as an LE soon.

I thought they already did, I forget the name they were like 1" frags for $100 it was something like DFS real deal echinata or something like that.

I thought these latest mini colonies they've been selling lately are the same as the "Real Deal" ones. To me these pics look a little photoshopped with the blueish purple sand and all.

Naa the pics aren't photo shopped, it the lights they use over their system. But it is a beautiful coral with a high price tag and a short life span:sad2:

I wouldn't say that ;) Maybe the indo counterparts, but there are pretty good success rates with the aussie versions
