I finally got my biocube 8 from xmas all set up. Ive got something like a total of 9 lbs of live rock, 3 of which is in the filter. I also put in a mj600 and a hydor flo. Some quieter fans come sometime this week. Cant wait for it to cycle!
The only thing i cant figure out is a massive amount of what looks like dust particles. Looks like those pics ppl have of fog tests or what not in their aquariums. The stock filter has been running in there for a while, maybe 2 weeks. I was beginning to think that it might be from the live rock. The rock from premium aquatics came the other day and it didnt start till maybe a day after i put it in. It may just be decaying things on the rock. Anyone know what it is?
Overall i was quite unhappy with the rock seeing as it didnt have much for life. It may have been due to the shipping experience it had. With the 6 feet of snow weve gotten in the last week ups has been a bit behind and it ended up flown on about 5 different flights all over the country. When it arrived it didnt have a lot of coraline or anything, mostly dead worms. Oh well i still got some nice stuff from the lfs.
