I went to feed him krill last night, and he sucked into the sand. I mean poof, he was gone. I know I've read about it and know that it is normal. He was out this morning and looked fine.

I just want to know if it is a sign of stress or poor health.

Like your anemone was completely gone? My carpet has shrunk before to a pretty small size one time, but never dissapeared into the sand.

I could see the edges, but he was mostly in the sand. Even though I had read about it, freaked me out.

Reminds me of a tube anemone.

I guess it was just reacting. Could of thought your hand was a predator of some sort. I know my anemones that don't have clowns hosting them react more but my anemones that have clowns hosting them don't tend to react to disurbance or movement as much. Just an observation though.

My tomatoes haven't reacted to the carpet yet. They are still holding on to a 1 inch bleached RBTA. I was hoping they would move long enough to allow the rose to grow. No luck.

tomatos don't natually host carpets so I doubt they will switch.

I figured they might since they have hosted in just about everything else in the tank.

I went from tomatos to Clarkiis. Now you want to talk about a clown that hosts everything, even if its a condy.

Green star polyps, hairy shrooms, lps, but a 1 inch rose? How long can he hang on?

I would like to see a picture of two tomatos hosting a 1 inch rose. Your rose might stress out and die. I would put something over it if possible.

They hosted him when he was 4-5 inches. He bleached on 6/12/2006 and shrunk to 1-2 inches over the following weeks. He's been that small and being harassed since August. Several pics can be seen in my gallery mostly in full tank shots.

They harass him every night and have for months, and yet he's still there.

Yep I see your RBTA. I would put something over it so it can come back. Are you sure it didn't split with you not being able to find the other clone? It could have died without you knowing it.

I watch it everyday. It would have had to split overnight after bleaching as it was the same size till after it bleached.

Not sure what to put over it to keep the clowns away. Have any thoughts?

Strawberry basket, it still allows light in, but nothing big like harassing clowns.

Like the idea, one last question. If I bar the clowns from the bta, is the carpet ready to take them on? Don't want them to smother the carpet.
