Hi Anthony! I don't know if you remember me, but we met at a Washington Area Marine Aquarist Society meeting where you gave your talk and slide show. Just wanted to know if there's any word on when the new book from you, Bob Fenner, and Steven Pro (I think?) is coming out. Definitely going to buy it!!!

How are your other books coming along?

Cheers, Gina :)

I remember you very well my dear. Hmmm... am I mistaken or did you have some association with the military? At any rate, cute little blonde girl :)

I do have good news about the new book. It will in fact be rather close to on schedule for delivery (much to our own surprise ! )

We projected a March delivery one year ago but it looks like the bindery may not have it ready till April ship out.

The fault is ours, but its not a bad thing... Bob and I buried the editor with a lot of extra content late and then would not budge on the book's final size :p

So.. the word is, not 300 pages as promised, but 384 pp Heehee... and thats just the first volume :D

We advertised early on that Steven Pro was going to write with us but he had unexpected family obligations to tend to and needed to pass on this title with us.

I do hope you enjoy it. Perhaps we'll see some of the WAMAS gang at MACNA this year?

Kind regards,

Anthony

PS... seeing your moniker, wait until you see the gallery in our Ascidian/Tunicate chapter :D

You will definitely be seeing some of the WAMAS gang at MACNA this year ;)

Awesome, my friend.

And with a moniker like "traveller7" I should expect that the trek from VA to KY/Indiana should be no trouble at all :p

Please be sure to say hi when y'all do :)

Distance will not be a problem, but the moniker also implies that I don't read to well and will be lucky to arrive at all ;)

Maybe seasquirt will volunteer to be navigator for the group :D

I actually am thinking about going... I'll have some vacation time saved up by then, and I don't think I can afford to go to Key West TWICE this year.... I'd love to carpool.

I hope this book will be equally funny like your last book.

I marked it down to drop you a line closer to the event, but I sure would hate to be thought of as part of the reason you skipped the keys once this year ;)

Bluereefs,

Thanks kindly for the pre-order, my friend :)

We are navigating the book through the bindery process now. The actual printing of a book really doesn't take much time at all. Mere weeks on big run. 4-6 at worst with a busy bindery or slight delays. It will be a couple of weeks before we can say for certain, however, but my conservative guess is the end of April at this point.

Bob and I are actually hoping to get them by mid April in time for a string of symposiums we have. Alas, all bets are off at this point for the exact delivery date :p

kind regards to all,

Anthony

Anthony because of your nature and your link with Bob Finner I need to vent and come clean. Last MACNA I jumped down Chucks(Mako) throat for making a comment about shark attacks. I did it because my friend Eric had a fatal accident with a shark. Chuck was just having fun with all our group like he should. I just want to let Chuck and everyone know I'm sorry. I want to say we all lost a excellent aquarist/collector that moved this hobby beyond.Finner touched his heart and he was looking forward to diving with himas they discused.

smpolyp,

Terribly sorry to hear of Eric's passing and your loss of a friend in our temporal realm. I do believe it to be true though that another door opens when one soul passes from this world. You surely have an even greater appreciation for life and our hobby now for knowing him.

Now Chuck is a good natured chap and we can all empathize with you and subjects that touch the heart. Lord knows we all have them.

No worries... lets be sure to toast Eric on a fine beach one day.

With kind regards,

Anthony

Thank you. Remember the deep water anemones pics you saw at the last MACNA? The Atlantic ball anemones? Part of his collection. Thank you again for listening.
