new BTA

Just wanted to share my excitement! Yesterday on the way home from work, I stopped by a LFS to pick up a few hermit crabs. I just took a peak into the anemone tank just to see if anything catches my eye. Seems they had 3 of the same BTA, brownish green with purple tip. Pretty large too, one was bubbled up nicely so I figured I'd just get one since I had pretty much give up hope in finding a nice colored one (didn't want a RBTA).

When I got him home and under my 14K MH.. WOW! Awesome color, base was a reddish orange coloring in a marble pattern, the brownish green was just a brilliant green and the purple tips were still there. I'm very happy with it. My GBM pair fell in love with it in under a minute!

As of yesterday, they have 2 more so if anyone is looking for a green BTA of good size and is in the concord, ca area. stop by and get it. BTW, after all the searching I did in over half a year, I've never seen one this pretty. Don't have a good macro camera but will post pics later.

Oh, its about 8 inches to 12 inches when its fully opened.

:D

:p

Pics will come later this evening... I'm at work and all I can think about is what my fishes are doing with their new home.

OK, I lied. Its no longer "brillant" green, probably lost color when it expanded more. Its fully expanded and its HUGE. Its green but a little lighter in color but I still love it. My camera doesn't handle reef lighting so it the color is off but I tried. The pics doesn't do it justice and shows no hint of green even though in person, its very much so.
