New BTAs in quarrantine.

Skunk Hybrid Freak
A friend of mine is in the process of breaking down her tank and offered me three anemones for a really great deal. When I went by last night to pick them up, we discovered that one was splitting and a few extras were in the back of her tank. It turned out that there were 6 total (counting the splitter as one) we ripped one in half during the transition making that seven. I suspect in the next few days the stress of the move will provide me with a few more splits.
She was also generous with the live rock. All the rock in the pics (that the nems were attached to) and the corals on it were next to nothing.
If you're reading this (you know who you are) THANK YOU!!!

....and here's the other half. Already healing up.

You hit the BTA jackpot! Looks like you got several different morphs, too. You'll have to post a FTS when everybody's all moved and settled in. :p

What are you going to keep them with? Those will be some happy clownfish.

There are really only two morphs. A green with pink tips and a red with green oral disc, of which I already have clones. I plan to add them to my clown species tanks and will likely start propagating some of them. Species wise I plan for sure to keep them with my A. thiellei and A. leucokranos pairs. I have a couple other clown pairs that I'm debating about keeping at all (barberi, melanopus and chrysopterus.)

I must admit, this is the first time I've been asked for a FTS of a quarantine tank but as requested, here they are.

Heh. Shoot, why turn down a compliment? Unless somebody's trying to get something out of you.

BTW, it's still pretty, even if it's just a quarantine tank. ;) Good luck with the nem farming!

You're welcome! I'm happy to know they went to a home where someone will take care of them :) And they already look like they are doing well! It's probably a shock to them to go into clean water! LOL

Oh wait! The rose split yesterday? Wow that's great! It took years for it's first split. I think like 4 years and it was about 12" in diameter before it split!

No the Rose didn't split. One of the green ones (pictured) split yesterday. The rose does look like it's starting to spread out. So, it may or may not split.
I remember when yours split the first time. You gave me one of the halves. It has split many times since. I suspect these will do well for me and may well be the start of a new system. Considering the pest algae/aptasia problems I've had lately with my newest system I think it might be time to start fresh with some new liverock and corals. What I got from you should be sufficient though I do want to see what happens to it in the absence of the Kliens Butterfly.

If you need to share any of your good fortunes with a local reefer let me know. I was planning on getting a bta or 2 in the near future.
