New Bubble Tip Anemone

Ok, after doing much research, I bought a BTA from a LFS for my 15 gallon with 100W of florescent lighting. It looked quite healthy at the LFS but when I bought it home, it deflated into approximately 20% its original size. Ok, so after acclimating it slowly, I placed it on a piece of LR on the hightest point with the brightest lighting. However a few hours later, I find the BTA fitting itself in between the bottom of the LR and base of the tank in a horizontal position. It looks like its hiding from the light. Is it possible the lighting is too intense? Or is it finding a crack to fit its "foot" in?

Yea it still doesnt look as inflated as it was in the LFS. So should I leave it to wander around for the time being? What if I do not like the final position it settles down at? Should I move it?

unfortunatly, it will tell you where it wants to be. a clown will keep it happier. i bought one in aug. and it has split 2x already. its in a 33long with 260 watts of pc

It looks partially deflated as of now. I think its still moving. I hope its not one of those anemones that climb the glass. So far I read that only the Ritteri anemone is notorious for doing that.

if you buy one from the LFS and when you bring it home you opens and accepts food how can you tell its healthy and liking its new surroundings???

Im curious to know what constitutes a healthy and happy anemone??? I checked some of the forum posts but could find what consitiutes it going bad not one to with a check list to say how its going. . .

my friend's has opened within 2 hrs and accepts silversides and has a clarkii with it. How far are they suppose to open ??? what are the tips suppose to be like???

I'd like to know the answer to this as well, because I've had mine almost a month now and the tenticles look long and skinny. When I purchased it they were more inflated. Mine is sticky and eats almost every day. It bleached a little from the acclimation but still has much of its brown color (algae).
