I have decided to place the tank with the starfire glass facing the room and the other side in the fish room. I decided not to do a see through because of the lack of scaping and other stuff. I like the idea of having the front completly closed and access through the rear of the tank. ( after seeing all the fish rooms lol) i am taking that idea!

Ok, framed in the window side of the wall, and now waiting for jan, so I can order the tank. I think I am going with a 120x38x38 DT and 500 g of sumo/refugium. And make the whole wall a DT. I am going to Orlando for vaca, and going to visit some stores while I'm there.

sounds like your plan is coming together ......check out my build thread as its almost exactly what your wanting to do, you have some good questions to start with hope this may help ......http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2147084

and your asking about a CL I had one on my last 300 but went with out it on the new setup.....I increased the input of the return pumps as I went with dual Reeflow Super Gold Darts and I have around 7000+ gph running through the system now Flow is not an issue thats for sure....I ran 8 return lines and can adjust the output of them anywhere I want for directional flow in the DT....also on a big system like this go with Acrylic over the glass.......your going to orlando come on down another 2 hours and you could see for your self....

Like stated above, I think acrylic is better option over glass and is what I went with on my 600 gallon (96X48X30) build thread.

As far as overflow, I'd go with an external coast to coast overflow. I have a large overflow box along the back middle of the tank but did not go with coast to coast as I came across a good deal on a never used tank. Good luck and will be fun!

I'm in Iowa.
I've personally seen 2 of their tanks break. One was an 8' 340 another was a 6' 300. 340 broke along a side pane after being set up for about 18 months. 300 broke along the bottom.

ONLY?? yikes....

Im on the hunt for a 96x30x30..... i think i will decline GC..

Its a shame, the material cost cant be that different between Mfgs?
Is it just labor? its easy to smooth out a seem?
I just dont comprehend how much the cost difference is...
