New bulbs = new photos

Picked up some new bulbs to test a bit. so far, I like the color, but need to let them burn in a bit. they are Plusrite from 1000bulbs.com. Yes, the Cheapo ones. figured I would see how they perform. I have the 14k's in now. was supposed to get the 20k's.

parton the little chunk missing. he and the purple tang got into it when I was cleaning the tank. so far, this fish has been a Perfect model citizen and is 100% reef safe.

nope. didnt move it yet. I wanted to let them burn in a bit. seems the far right is sorta between the two.

other than that, I do like the bulbs so far. they are bright and crisp. those I had definately needed replacing.

Thanks Bart! I am rather fond of it too. now just to get it back to to purpling up instead of the green.

Just an update, I called 1000bulbs.com customer service and they are sending the new bulbs at no charge and are also going ot pay for all return shipping. they were very nice and the lady worked very hard to make sure I was happy. Ill test the 20k's when I get them to see if I like the color better.

Have you had any fading coral from the bulb change? Did you lower your time on for a few days at least? How is everything looking? Are they blue enough?

Loving the 20k bulbs. they remind me of the radiums as far as color tone. the one that did fade has started to color back up and so far so good. the two remaining anthias are doing well and eating just a bit shy.

I did lower the hours a bit and will gradually raise them back up.

OK. but there is no guaranttee and I did flushed her...ill call him on monday and see what he says.
