New Bulbs

It is that time for me.

I went with this.

1 - KZ Fiji Purple High Output T5 Lamps
2 - ATI Blue Plus + T5 HO Aquarium Lamps
1 - Giesemann PowerChrome Aqua Blue+ T5 Lamps
2 - USHIO 250W 10K Single Ended Metal Halide Lamp

Has anyone run any of these bulbs? My tank is pretty much a glorified frag tank so I went with a 10k bulb to grow them, hopefully I won't be disappointed and the 4 T5 choices give me the pop. I am assuming it has to be better than the crappy 14k e-bay bulb and cheap actinics I have in there now.

Im not a T-5 guy -- no experience with them. I run 400w mh's in Lumenbright reflectors. Though, you'd have to guess after all the crappy reviews here on RC and on Sanjay's excellent lighting site that the ebay bulbs are not very good after a few weeks. You have some very good name brand bulbs now -- going to be much better IMO.

The new T5s are in. Huge improvement in the detail and definition. The colors are no longer washed out as they were with all 4 of the old blue bulbs. My only issue now is I think that the PowerChrome Aqua Blue+ is bit too white, as now I don't have a true Actinic bulb. So the actinic pop is not as strong, but maybe I think that because the old bulbs were too blue. I think I will pick up a 05 true actinic to try out in its place. This is just for dusk / dawn btw. I'll post some new pics soon.
