This Sohal is pretty neat, he changes color quite a bit. Some of the time he will be somewhat dark and other times real light. The only other fish that changes coloration as much is my clown trigger.
Here is a good one of him in his white mode. I thought maybe it has something to do with aggression of other fish, or feeding or mood, but I cant yet find what triggers it. I've fed the tank when he is darker and when he is lighter, it doesnt effect it. Sometimes at night he is dark, sometimes light, so I dont think it's sleeping coloration, especially since it changes during the day.
I think I may have posted this picture before, but here is he in his dark mode.
Well lets put it this way, I havent decided to get rid of him yet As to whether I'm keeping him, I dont know still.
I'm going to have to get rid of him or my puffer, I'm afraid. The two of them just dont get along. The Sohal bites my puffer's tail from time to time, it's just stressing the puffer out.
I could get rid of the sohal, which I really like... and have a calmer tank. Or get rid of the puffer, who bothers no one, and keep the sohal and probably have to deal with aggression issues down the road.
It's really a no brainer, I should get rid of the sohal, but he is such a cool fish I think I'm going to end up working my tank around his attitude, heh. We will see as time goes on.
