Yep, rainbow wrasse, pretty neat little fish. Supposedly only gets 6 inches too.

Nice wrasse Recty. Good to hear its getting along well with the other fish. When did you add that to the tank?
I put him in there about two weeks ago now.

He is pretty cool to watch, I dont think he has teeth, at least not sharp ones so when he bites a big piece of food he zips away from all the triggers then smashes the food against the rocks to break it up, it's cool to watch.

The triggers all just chew through the meat and dont need to bash it up :)

Recty, if my tank blows up tomorrow, I will live through your tank since your choice in fish is just like mine. I want one of those cortez wrasses as well but know they will tear up a cleaner shrimp....even though they are smaller wrasses. Love the niger teeth, the clean and colorful humu and the crazy patterns of the GHT. Can't wait to see that sohal get big.....they eat like animals I would guess since they are so much like the clown tang. My clown tang could easily go though 50 pellets in a sitting. It is very thick. Keep up the good work!

Heh, thanks. Your tank was one of the main ones that inspired me to go to a trigger tank instead of my much more peaceful setup I had before in my 210, so you've got yourself to thank for it!

The cortez rainbow is cool and I only got him once I treated with quinine sulfate and killed off my cleaner shrimp, so I'm not worried about that anymore.

That GHT is nuts, isnt it? He really darkens up and gets a odd pattern when feeding and other fish are around, those real dark bars across his back normally arent there when he is just swimming around. Or I guess they are there, but just not dark brown, more light tan colored.

I'm really enjoying the tank, and the new camera is making me enjoy it even more :)

WOW! Great shots! You have some beautiful fish! I love that niger! I just got one with such attitude but great personality. Love him already. Gorgeous fish and setup Recty, nice job. You have a nice camera too! Wish I could get clear shots like that, it looks like the fish are floating in thin air!

Yeah, DPS, the niger is a cool fish. Mine hasnt developed the devil attitude everyone else seems to deal with, but mine is in with some other very aggressive fish so I think he's probably going to have a real hard time being king of the hill.

Thanks Lisa!

I got a decent picture of my wrasse showing his pearly whites, the wrasse is actually pretty hard to photograph as he does not ever stop swimming, ever...

Thanks. My only complaint is the right side of his head on the gill plate area, he looks like he has old scars on it or something, so he doesn't look all smooth and sleek there. I almost passed on buying him because of that but in the end I didn't and I guess it just gives him character.

It's weird how much more I'm enjoying my tank with this new camera, it brought into play a whole different aspect of this hobby :)

Thanks, I really really like the Humu one, it turned out great. He looks like he has an expression, people here at work are telling me he looks like their puppies begging for food off the table :)

The golden still isnt doing that great, at this point I'm faulting the quinine sulfate, it didnt do this guy any favors. I know my water is pristine and he still looks unhappy. It could be the company he is keeping but he is pretty well left alone so I dont think it's stress.

how big is your red toothed niger? Is he aggressive? I had a niger with turning red teeth tear apart my purple tang last year.

If you count the tail streamers I'd guess about 11", without he is around 8-9". Hopefully mine stays being nice.

How much did all that run you? I am in market for new camera myself
Well I bought THE BEST lens possible for this application which cost $1100, you could get away with only spending a couple hundred.

I also bought about the best semi-pro dSLR camera, another $1100 or so. I want to do other photography besides aquariums, if you only are looking for fish pictures I'm sure there are cheaper setups that won't be too much less quality.
