Like the title says, I just got a new digital camera so its time for some pics. Camera is a powershot s3 is, and I'm still trying to get used to taking pics with it. Anyways, heres some good ones of the tank:
Those are "candy canes", they are an lps (large-polyped stoney) coral. Got em at aquarium fanatics, ive found it hard to find them with good green centers like that, so as soon as i saw em i swooped em up.
Actually, I believe that those are Caulastrea furcata , which are most commonly called candy canes, Caulastrea curvata is what most people think of "trumpet" corals, which is a different species.
my bad, what is the difference? looked at a couple of pics and from first glance i couldn't tell the difference. I did notice most of the "candy canes" had the coloration of your pic but not all (could be misidentified)
