I have this tank professionally Maintananced once to twice a month by the owner of the LFS and he said it would be fine. Seems to be doing well.

Hopefully Mr. It'll Be Fine knows to look for signs of distress. Carpets are prone to bacterial infections so if you see the mouth start to gape it will very quickly not be doing well.

Looks like it should be removed to qt for observation and in case immediate treatment is necessary. Judging by the gaping mouth might not be to far off. Does it inflate and deflate a lot? Fwiw there are many good lfs out there and there are just as many that will sell you whatever just to make a sale whether you can care for it or your tank is ready for it. Good luck

It needs to be treated since I can see the mouth opened in the picture.
