New CLAM care for first time owner

Well i finialy got what i have always wanted a clam. I got one of those big blue max. clams at Jo-Mars. And i was wondering if any one had there two cents they could add about its care. I have plenty of light good cal. but the alk is a little out of balance. I also have a fuge so it should have plenty of filter feeding meteral.

If there anything esle i need for it like food or supliments any advice would be good

if your clams under 3'' you need to feed live phyto

How often do you target feed the smaller clams? Do you just use a long bulb syringe and to target feed?

I have a large crocea and just got a smaller one that is only about 1 1/2 or so.

i wouldn't do this. clams feed slowly all day long. feeding them with this method over loads there gills and the clam rejects the food. i would feed a small amount to the whole tank every day.
