Hello, I wanted to share pics of my new clam. Its a 5" crocea that was wild caught from the christmas islands. I got it from the lfs I work at. A customer ordered it and never picked it up so my boss gave me a deal I couldnt refuse. I was a little nervous about getting a new one after a bad batch of b-ionic killed my maxma and derasa but he looks great so far. Its under 5 39w t-5s in a 40g breeder. Alk is 3.77 and cal is 400. Bulbs are as follows: two fiji purple, two powerchrome actinics, and one powerchrome daylight. Let me know if you have any tips. My evil monocular ocellaris clown is also pictured staring me down. Enjoy

I agree it should be on the rocks>>>> Crocea's are found in rockwork not sand...

Here's a pic of my new one, Imoved him up on the rockwork after a couple of days and he loves it....

I know a lot of you are saying croceas on the rocks but mine don't ever attach themselves on the rocks so i set them in the sand and they seem to like it there. Although i do have one large crocea on the rocks that is very happy there.

lol i was in milford at the mall this morning and was gonna stop in,but at 11 you were closed. 35 min. drive so i dont go that often. better luck next time.

Could be PM. My two came down with PM a few days after there addition a year ago. I set up a "carbon reactor" (similar to a phosban reactor, but with much greater flow) and ran like 3 cups of carbon for my 40g tank. It cleared up. This has worked for others as well. If it looks the same tomorrow please do something.

GL. It's a beauty!
