you need to get them crocea up on the rocks

But do it gradually while they get acclimated to the lights. ;)

ever heard of light acclimation? Thanks for the concern

If I place 1.5"x1.5" pieces of acrylic under the clam will they attach to that? Anything wrong with doing that?

Sorry for sounding so short, I am currently recovering from some bad food poisoning and wasn't into typeing to much. Did you just get all 6 of them clams yesterday?

I haven't used acryllic to attach clams to, I don't want the chance of seeing it under the clam. It just doesn't look natural. I usually just put them where I want them and if they move from that place then I know they prefer to be placed elsewhere.

All the best with the food poisoning. I got all six at one time but it wasnt yesterday. I want to use acrylic becasue: 1 I have some extra pieces and 2 i want to leave the clams on the sandbed

you can try to leave them on the sand but I don't think they would like it. It is very rare to find a clam in the wild that is on the sand. I think the clam you are concerned about isn't happy with its placement. Try moving this clam up and see what it does.
