New Clown Behavior

I've had my male and female maroon paired up since the day I got them over a year ago and lately they've been tail nipping each other. Nothing seems too violent but they are definetly taking bites out of each others tails. Should I worry? I haven't seen any real agressive fighting or anything and there is nothing else in the tank but a scooter.

Thoughts?
