Hey Folks,

The Past 2 week i have been watching my SPS fade one by one not able to do much except frag, dip and do water changes, im not 100% sure what caused the sudden spell of RTN/STN but needless to say ive just about lost all my Acros while my LPS is thriving and growing at quite an astonishing rate

I have decided there was a number of small contributing factors/stressors which may have compounded causing this- Temp Adjustment (calibrated my RKL)77->79, adding biopellets, beginning amino acid dosing, increasing light intensity, beginning 2 part

anyway now my question- when can i consider it safe to begin adding new pieces? is there a general rule of thumb? my understanding is this is a bacterial infection so i assume it needs to run its course...

Probably alk problem caused rtn and sometimes it can jump from coral to coral. With you saying your lps look great and are growing really well then I would say you have elevated nutrients most likely
