New Coral - Excited & wanted to share

Got four new coral from Randy 3 days ago and I'm freaking excited at how well they're doing!

As far as the Duncans, was there a drastic change in color due to them expanding?
Or could lighting have made that drastic change within 3 days? I'm not sure if color or size,
or a combination of both, is a determining factor for their health. Opinions?

Headed to dinner, will get photos of the Krpyto candy / Birds nest when I get back.

I would say it's polyp extension. Mine do the same thing.

Not sure, however I'm hoping it's not to soon as I haven't (supported?) it? It's currently in a crevice until I decide if thats officially the location I want. I wish there were easier ways to mount frags to rock other then putty/super glue. If there are easier methods, please let the noob know.

They will host anything that makes them feel safe. I've even heard of them hosting a thermometer.

fwiw, I had two ocellaris that did, in fact, host my large Frogspawn.

gotta use them together. Putty plus superglue GEL.
Use the thick stuff. When used in conjuntion with each other the results are easy and amazing. Used separately they suck.

+1 on what Gary said. Mold a place with the putty then make it stay with the GEL super glue.

Tomato and Maroon clowns have more of an aggressive tendency (ie, popping tentacle in their mouth). I don't think that an Ocellaris will be much trouble.

If anyone can give both the general and scientific names that would be awesome.

Acan I'm guessing, but is there a specific name for it depending on the color?

Bottom left I'm guessing is a Ricordia mushroom. Right is? (The zoas in the back are in horrible condition. They actually came 10x worse from someone else. The current condition is pretty decent considering I thought they wouldn't make it.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Do you know what the scientific name for it is? Or are all acans under "Acanthastrea Echinata / Acanthastrea Lordhowensis" and the colors are just variation?
