New crocea attached to the glass, ok?

I got 2 croceas from Barry at Clams Direct recently. After their addition, the larger of the two ended up having to be moved, then fell. I decided to do as Barry instructed and start on the sand. Unfortunately, now it is attached under the sand as I tried to move it, but it had a grip so I decided to leave it be.

Now, will this be an ok place for it? My concern is now it is going to get sand on it more often seeing as it is on the sand. The cuke may bug is, and it is far from the light (pretty much as far as you can get from it.) Granted, I have a 250w halide over the tank which is like 21" tall, so it'll be, realistically, about 24" below the lamp, and about 1" from the center.

Also, i've nearly stressed this poor creature to death seeing as my second spot was bad and it fell, so i'm really not up for doing anything right now to stress it further.

I will post pictures soon:)

In my experience clams wont attach unless they like the place where they are. So if he looks good and content, I would leave him alone.

yeah i agree, he should be fine under 250's and there is no need to cut the byssal thread unless absolutely necessary.

i think just to be sure you should post those pics you promised though :spin1:
