I think you're looking for something that has expired. Most deals last only a few weeks.

When you click on that, what do you see?

SOMETIMES, randomly, I can see the Group Buys.

Maybe I'll try another browser - it just occurred to me IE is all I have right now - I'll have to download Chrome and Firefox again as I upgraded to Vista Ultimate (don't ask why...just don't ).

Oh, and even when I can see Group Buys, I don't see anything listed today. I try logging in again, and still may or may not see Group Buys. It took me until the end of December to realize that there was an actual active Forum for Group Buys.

Any other thoughts?

Same issues here. I have to log in 2-3 tmes before I see group buys.

Thanks, Naso, it's good to know that I'm not the only one! I've now figured out I can see the Group Buys fairly consistently if I log in 3 times, once at the CTARS site and twice at the BB - and that's whether or not I have all the "log in automatically" boxes checked.

I don't understand the '3 times' to log in (not doing that for me), but for the moment we do have two separate logons - one for our website members only section, and one for our forums. This is due to the forums using a separate database than our website (something I am working one changing).

So until I get that changed, you need to log on twice - just remember to check the 'remember me' checkboxes so you only have to do the double logon once.

It is further complicated when I need to reset a password for someone because they can't remember it (I am working on adding the ability to reset your own password based on challenge question). What happens is I reset the password, then the person is prompted to change in the logon, and then I need to run a program to sync up the DBs. PITA, and I can't wait to get it done, just too busy at work at the moment. Thanks in advance for everyones patience

I understand... it happens to me on my work computer. I log into the CTARS site, then into the BB page. At home, I'm fine. At work, I need to log in a second time whether or not I've checked the 'remember me' option. Same browser (IE,) same OS (XP) and cookies are enabled on both computers. The only thing I can think of would be something with our proxy or filtering at work. I just don't get why the first attempt on the BB fails 100% of the time but the second one always works.

Greg, I'm not asking you fix it. It's not really a big deal. Just thought that it might help you diagnose what others might be experiencing.

Yes, it's no big deal now that I've figured it out, my real concern was that new people would not be able to see the group buys. Nothing urgent, but if it dawns on you what the issue may be, perhaps you could fix it sometime in the future.

I will be changing the forum software soon to be able to use the same database as the website/membership (all posts will be retained). That will take care of one of the logons, and I will be asking if that scenario is still happening on the work computer
