Has anyone used these yet? What size light vs. tank? What are your thoughts.

We have this image from Current to answer your light size vs. tank size question:

They are still relatively new, although we've sold a few dozen in various sizes already so we expect feedback to start rolling in soon.

This looks very interesting. This looks like a great product, but the proof is always how it does over the long haul. I hope discussions have begun about working with the Apex controllers!

Because this is the main thread for this specific light, could I use the 36" over my 40 breeder and keep soft coral/LPS successfully?

Yes, it will be perfect for low light corals over a tank of that size. If you plan to keep SPS or higher light demanding organisms, I would suggest something a bit more powerful.

Cool, thanks for the response! I'm looking to keep mostly softy's and maybe a few LPS. So this should work perfect!

Two of them would certainly provide the output you need for a 60" 125 gallon aquarium. Just be sure to place the corals appropriately based on lighting and flow.

I'm using the 24-36" system over my 29g mixed reef aquarium. Everything looks amazing under the light and I'm also seeing some growth on every inhibitant. It's only been a month, but the growth and coloration thus far has been phenomenal. It could perhaps be the fact that my tank is only 18" deep, but I'm seeing some definite advantages and at a good price.

Has anyone been able to connect these to an apex? I have a great DIY fixture but the rock work causes a shadow and my DIY led that fills in the shadow keeps failing. I want a small light fixture but want it on my apex.
