New Era foods

I picked up some of this the other day and my fish are going nuts for the stuff. I cut the rings in half so I get 2 from each ring but they love it. Not so big on the pellets just yet but they seem to be coming around. The pellets are soft and you can squish them together. Anyway I think it is a great addition for algae loving tangs.

grazers seem very cool, but (like your experience) the pellets haven't been a winner with all my fish.

the samples of these products have been flowing, but I don't think anyone carries them locally?

Not to hijack the thread or anything...but what does everyone feed their non algae eaters i.e. clownfish and gobies.

All my fish always have loved pellets over flakes. And as always they love frozen prepared foods better. But they go psycho for live foods. Lol

I've had really good luck with Dainichi Marine FX sinking baby pellets. Haven't found anything that WONT try to eat them, actually.

I was at Aquarium Arts on Wed. and they said they are going to start carrying the ERA line.

They tried it out in their store and their fish love it. He also pointed out that the pellets that made it to the bottom of the tank were still intact after 8 hours.

Can you post a photo of what's inside. You mention cutting the rings in half...can you show us what a ring is?

The ring is about 1 1/4' with a center hole designed to fit over a suction cup that holds it through that hole.
'if memory serves"

The web site shows no AZ retailers. Is there anywhere to buy it locally?

I remember this stuff. There were some samples given out at one of the FRAG meetings. Came with a suction cup that the rings slid over. Once my fish cut the ring, it came off the suction cup and free floated around the tank. JP

I was wondering about that.

So these aren't really designed as a vacation feeder then?
