I know it does, but i do not have suction cups and I do not want to ram my new frags into some egg crate I feel better gluing them...But I do not want to viod the warrenty.Originally posted by RichConley
It voids thier guarantee, I believe.
I'd just attach a piece of eggcrate to some suction cups, and put it on the glass. Just stick the frags in there.
I believe they come unmounted.Originally posted by reefdood
If they come on plugs, you could just stick the plug in a hole for a few days.
does anywhere carry them empty? also if they are on the bottom of 24" tank will they receive enough light?Originally posted by Sk8r
Set a few babyfood jars in the tank and use them to safeguard your frags. Anything that will keep the wind off them.

Go to Target (not Walmart:lol: ) and pick up a pack of glass condiment bowls. They're perfect for this application

I was going to say stick them in a QT before they touch your main tank... but you probably don't believe in stuff like that

LOL, that is funny. Ok back on topic.Originally posted by jjackson
yeah that is kinda rude....
that would be like us making the assumption you bat for the other team because you are from san fran....
Tank is newer, it is about 6 months old with about 7 other SPS frags that are doing well...So now I am getting more frags to add. I have sand and I worry about cutting flow down for the rest of the creastures in the tank...I think I may go the route of glass jars, but that is alot of stuff on the sand bed wher I have stuff.Originally posted by sfsuphysics
Sorry didn't mean to sound rude nor pompous, it's just there were other ideas that were batted down (suction cups, egg crate, etc) so I assumed my idea would be batted down for the same reason (not available). Hopefully you atleast dip the corals before putting them in your tank.
It seems you're getting quite a lot of frags, starting a new tank? Or is it already established. Maybe you can cut the flow down a bit? You didn't mention if you had sand or not if no sand you could lay them on the bottom with less flow or in jars as was suggested. With a lot of frags I think egg crate would be useful just to keep things separated from one another without being stung.

Ahh, I see yeah cutting the flow might be an issue with other corals in the tank. If glass isn't available use a big tupperware container, and just stick a piece of rock in it to weigh it down, then you can use some egg crate or something as dividers to keep different species away from each other.
Take some pics when you get the chance, I'm curious to see what stuff comes in a frag pack from RM.
