I picked this little beauty up yesterday, I only arrived on Friday so i believe it has some colouring up to do. It looks to me like it might be red. Its pink at the mo but it has some darker bands on it
Your thoughts please, I know the picture is a little difficult to get a real idea from but thats all i got i,m afraid.

It looks like it's showing a bit of skeleton, but you added it yesterday, so it's prolly just getting used to your tank. They color up fast, so as long as your params are good it should be perfect in about a week.

BTW, that's honestly the most beautiful clam I've ever seen! Wow.

Params are as follows
alk 9.3
cal 426
mag 1320
po4 0.04
no3 0.75
ph 8.3
sg 35ppt
temp 25.5
I only put fungia in yesterday and moved it for the pics. I believe it came into the country on Friday. So no doubt stressed
Thanks, I think the clams lovely to :)

+1 agreed

Also, try feeding your plate some mysis shrimp, mine loves it when i spot feed it.

What are the brownish strings in your sand? they look sorta like spaghetti type worms to me; I had a few of those near a scoly I have on the sand and they seemed to irritate it...I used a turkey baster to remove the ones that were touching the coral and it seems happier now.

Great looking coral, I think it will color up nicely. Also, the can inflate and move. You may want to try to put it next to some rock or move a little rock around it. They can also sting a bit. Once acclimated you may want to watch it doesn't hurt your scoly or doughnut to the left.

I do agree with AGYDAL, I would try to clear out a little around it, in regards to your worms or whatever is near it. At least while it's getting used to your tank.

Hi all

Thank you all for your advice :). They are tiny worms in the sandbed they are not causing any trouble at the mo but i will keep my eye on it. The little coral next to the fungia is acan maxima i can move if needed.
With regards to the colour they had a purple with green tenticles it is nothing like this one.
I will update the thread on sunday il set the camera to the setting i used for these pics. Hopefully you will all see a change? Its getting more colour by the day :).
Thank you for the comments on the clam its nearly 3" in size and was a bargain at only£30!!!
I have another couple of clams il post a pic up later once home from work.
Thank you all again
