New Gigantea Journal

Need some suggestions regarding the height where the anemone will feel comfortable. It is almost to the mid level of the tank. The tank is 24" tall with LED's.

On that top spire where the orange is.

That is my opinion...

Loves the light.

Ohh... Nice shots.. Nice tank... !!!

Very nice tank. How big is the tank? How much LED and what type? How do you like it?
This have nothing to do with where I think your anemone need to be. I think if he is unhappy, he will move up or down.
I am building a 340 g tank and have 3X Radion G2 and 2X Radion G1 with TIR. My tank is 28 inches high and 36 inches wide. I wonder if this is enough for my Gigantea and SPS.

I have a 300G display built in wall. 90" X 30" X 24"H
I built my own LED's using BridgeLux chips. Love it so far. Especially with the colors, customization & SPS growth. I've had the LED's for over a year now.
I really like the ability to control my colors & brightness of LED's using my APEX. I'm sure a lot of the current fixtures come with this feature, but I like the 1 stop show: Apex.

I recently replaced 4 MP40 & 1 Tunze 6205 with 5 WP40's. I'm getting a lot more random flow, much much quieter & fish & coral seem to like the random flow pattern.

How thick are your glass. Does the MP40 have problem with 3/4 inch thick glass?
I was told by someone local that this may be a problem. My tank will be 3/4 inche thick glass. Right now I have 1 MP60 and 4MP40 and don't know if I should change it all to MP60 (total of 2 or 3)

I got away with a 1/2" glass. I must say I did occasionally have issues with MP40 slipping across the glass. But this could very well be due to the rubber losing grip.
I'd certainly do more research with MP40 on 3/4" glass.

Minh, look into a Jeabo WP40. For the price you will not go wrong to try. I replaced all mine & with the extra money got some spare as well. I personally notice a better flow & lower noise than MP40. Down side is it is a Tunze footprint.

He is doing well. Last week end I turned on the lights to manual On & forgot to switch them off for a full day. He was the smartest creature to move lower the rock & take some shade. He's slowly creeping back up now.
Otherwise in Good shape.
