I just got a green feather duster worm. Two questions; First, should I bury the tube in the substrate or just leave him lying on the surface? Second, for the week I've had him, I've only seen a small portion of the "head" protruding. Does this mean he's not feeding?
It wouldnt hurt to put the bottom down in the sand. I always tuck mine into the rockwork. Just be patient and give it some time. It is probably coming all the way out at night.
yeah, i'd try and conceal the tube. be aware though, that sometimes they can attach themselves to rocks, so if you tend to move the rocks around alot, you could hurt him by moving the rock he's attached to.
