New GS Maroon

Just got a small gs maroon for my large female, dont know how long shes been alone as I've only had her 1 month. She is currently host to a large rbta. The bag is floating in the water now and shes not paying to much attention. I'll release the small one and see what happens.

Well so far so good. The new guy swam behind the rocks for 3 min. then appeared within 1 foot of the nem and female. She is checking him out but has not attacked. The new guy is just treading water. My largest concern right now is my pink skunk whos very interested in the new guy. Pink skunk has her own large nem on the other side of the 8' tank.

Everything still going good. New guy is doing his shuddering thing when approached by female, she has still not shown any signs of attacking. Shes acting very aggressively towards the pink skunk and another small perc. The small perc has never shown any signs of fear from her and actually runs back at her if she gets to mean. I hope your right about the lucky day thing.

I cant believe it, lights went out 10 min ago and the new guy swam right up and actually touched the edge of the nem while the female was in it. She swam over to him and he just starded shuddering. If he gets to far away from her she leves the nem to find him. This is the greatest thing I have experienced since starting the hobby!!! This is also my first attempt at paring clowns. Hope it goes as well when I find a small pink skunk.

I don't think you'll have a problem with the maroons. The size difference is considerable, and she wouldve went after him already.

Well I got up this morning and they were both in the nem. Looks like its love at first sight. I couldnt be more thrilled. From reading here, paring usually dosent go this easy.
