New guy saying hi

Hi everyone. My name is Geoff and I live in Santa Rosa. I was looking for some corals on Craigslist and came across a guy in Santa Rosa selling some Green Zoas. His name was Joe and told me about this section of Reef Central. He was very nice and had a beautiful 29 gallon setup. Im glad I checked this out, looks like a great group of reefers! I currently have a 55 gal tank that has been up and running for about 7 months now. It has been doing great and I have been adding corals and fish when my bank account allows So not too often... I am hoping to get some good info from here, meet some locals, and hopefully trade some frags! I will post up some pics and info tomorrow.

and next on the list is some Pulsing Xenia, Anyone have any frags?

Welcome,I would encourage you to come to our next meeting. it's a lot of good people. We have speakers,frag swaps,and a raffle. Meeting are generally the 2nd Friday night or Saturday day. Watch the board for date and time.

Welcome and as Bob says come to the meetings and you will be rewareded. I also have 55 gallon tanks actually 2 now and I have as much pulsing xenia as you would ever need. Do you like them on plugs or if so I will start one today and get it to you on the 12th which I think is our next meeting. Our club is great and someone is always there to help and give advice. I never would have gotten this far without their expertise.

Thanks everybody! I will try to make the next meeting sounds like a good time and I would love to pick up some frags! My tank is looking rather empty right now. I ended up redoing my rockscape today so my tank is looking rather cloudy so no pics tonight, Ill try to post some tomorrow after work.

Hi Geoff and welcome. I have a few softy frags you can have if you like. Cladella, zoos, and a few others I can't think of. Are you setting up a softy, stony, or mixed reef. Either way, come to the meeting and there will be some goodies.

It is going to be mostly soft but I am planning on mixing it up a little. At first I was going to do mainly fish but I changed my mind a while back and want to stick with a few fish and a bunch of coral. I cant wait to have my tank look like some of yours.

Tom your gonna miss seeing the rock work int he tank that you did such a good job on?!?!!? I may even have abalone if i get to go diving this weekend...your missing out buddy.

I did get them from there! If they are yours I actually talked to you about them when I picked them up... Small world! They are going great in my tank, they are both very happy. Are you still selling frags to North Bay?

Yes but not as many as I was last count was about 150 or so in the last year mostly those hammers, frogspawns, and the yumas. I was doing a complete change ower to sps dominant and had as an exampleone hammer colony with more than 100 heads and two frogspaws of about the same size and probably 60 or 70 0f the ricordia. have them all trimmed back now and under control. still have lots of frags of differant stuff if you want some come by and grab a few, just let me know Grant

I cant even imagine colonies that size!! And thank you Grant I would love to pick up some frags, just let me know when I can come by. I want to see your setup while I'm there!
