New Gyre

Looks like it has more control then the old one.

WAY more control! They were showing them off at MACNA last weekend. One controller can control 2 gyres with all sorts of different modes: sync, antisync, pulse, random, custom 24hour, etc.

Looks like they picked up an idea from my tidal lunar cycle programming with the Apex seasonal table.

I wonder if it will offset around 50 minutes each day.

"Lunar Tidal Cycle (LTC) or the Oceanic Gyre Cycle (OGC)."

I wonder if the new controller would work with the old style gyres? I have two and it bugs me because they go out of sink all the time!

Did they do anything about the blades and snails? Trochus snail keep breeding for me and im afraid theyll break the blades like they did on the old ones.

At the Maxspect booth at MACNA I was told the new pumps have "minor improvements" including "better bushings" and I believe they said something about improved impellers -- not sure if that just means the ruggedized ones already available on the 100 series pumps, or even more "improved".

Just got mine in today. I got the 250 model and hooked it up with my old 150 model. So far I like it, but the controller directions are bit sketchy. I have yet been able to find the 2 preset modes. Overall the 250 model appears to be a bit more "stout" than the 150 model.

Can you post a pic? I am also thinking to get 2 250's for my 125 tank but a little concern if it will look worst or better that my Jebao.
