New H. magnifica/ritteri anemone

That great new i hope you have great luck with yours i will be hitting the half year mark on the 30th of this month . Good luck with the move

I moved my tank last weekend and set everything back up that day. Everything was going fine and then yesterday afternoon the anemone was totally deflated. Has anyone experienced that before and if so what does it mean? It's pretty much back to normal today..

could be stress from the move but i think it is just changing out its water .Mine does this some time most of the time half will deflated but sometimes it will do it all the way

What do you mean changing out its water? I've never heard of that. What's the point of it? Any information you can link about it?

Occasionally when Magnifica is stressed it can deflates. If this happen one then back to normal it is OK. You are in for trouble if it repeatedly deflates. Almost all of the time repeated deflation will result in anemone death. Sick magnifica will often deflates in the PM from noon to evening and inflates again during the night.

Strangely enough, it only happened that one time. It was back to normal by about midnight. It has been fine ever since then as well. I don't really know what happened but I'm glad that it was just a one time thing *crosses fingers*

The clowns sure looked lost without the nem haha.

I had added two magnificas, both did the repeated deflation cycles, after a month or so both eventually perished.

My original Magnifica has never deflated that I have seen and it has been healthy ever since its introduction and is very sticky.
