I got a new carpet in today from a buddy and it is seriously bleached. My clowns already love it but I was wondering if there was anything else I could do to help it regain some color?

What kind of lighting and how much flow do you have in your tank? It honestly doesn't look bleached to me

Black box Chinese LED's and a Mag 9.5 return. Four powerheads that vary in strength from about 700 gph to 1300 gph. 2 each.

I just thought it looked a little bleached to me, I mean I've seen worse but I'm trying to nip things in the bud so to speak. The center is a little more green than the rest of the nem and with my luck, things will get worse before they get better. That's why I posted about it. Before anything happened, lol.

I thought it looked o.k. As long as it is staying inflated it will probably settle down. Just keep a watch on it and ask your buddy if it looks normal to him.

That's why he gave it to me. He said it was a little darker when he got it. But I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Anything to watch for?

Check on the stickies about anemones. A guy in Texas knows a lot about them.

It appears to be a haddoni, it looks a little inflated but that could be brought on by a change in tanks. keep an eye on it. If it stays inflated it will probably need to be treated. It does not look to bleached to me. These are sand dwellers, who like, in my experience low to slightly med flow. Mine like a fair amount of light. Watch out for your power heads. If they are not happy they will move. Also the have a very strong sting, that some people have a reaction to, so be careful. And I would say these guy are at the top when it comes to eating fish.

The colour doesn't look bad. If it settles down it should be ok and regain its full colour with good lighting and time. I got a green haddoni about 10 months ago. It was so bleached it only had a very light tint of yellow/lime colour. It's eating well and gradually recovering its colour.

In my experience my Haddoni doesnt seem to like the cheaper leds, The one I have has been pi--ed off since I switched from halides. It hasn't bleached or moved and still eats good but just doesn't seem happy so Im leaving my leds and adding a halide over his end of the tank to see if that's the main issue. FWIW I'm running reefbreeders value leds without optics
