New Haddoni Challenges

I have a new red Haddoni. I've had it for about 10 days.

First 3 days looked great. On day 4 he started belching up dark brown stringy stuff, presumably, from the research i have done, zoox. He then deflated and much of his stomach popped out.

I figured at this point he was going to be dead shortly thereafter. But he perked up the next morning and looked ok... not great but ok. over the last 6 days he has gone through the same cycle 4 times. Each time, i figure this is it, but the next day he looks pretty good.

So what the heck is going on with this anemone? The whole time its foot has been firmly secured to the glass bottom.

Paramaters are:

ammonia, nitrite, 0

Trace nitrates and phosphates

salinity 36, ph 8.4, alk 9.8 to 11, calcium 400'ish.

tank is 6 months old.

Any insights into what is happening or what I can do to help this creature would be much appreciated.

Thanks, tony

Yes, it is doing the inflat-defalt cycle. You NEED to treat right away. Or you will more than likely lose this nem. Check out the cipro thread. I ended up treating all 6 of my Haddoni. All are doing great now. But you really must act now.

Good luck
