In my quest to keep water in containers and off my floor when making RODI water i stumbled onto something that seems to work really well from Home Depot. Its a timer controlled water valve. I found it in the Lawn& Garden department by the sprinklers. It is basically an egg timer that controls a water valve. You can set it for up to 2 hrs on the timer or turn it on manually for as long as you want. My RODI makes 75 gal in 8 hrs so setting it to 2 hrs will fill a 32 gal brute container and not over fill it(NO WATER ON FLOOR)
The unit costs $14.95.
Also a note the unit is handling my somewhat high tap water pressure with no problems (60 psi) Here is a pic
