New Hawaiian Black Triggerfish

Cool, thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try tonight when I get home. I'll try to post some pictures tonight too. He is really a cool looking trigger and the previous picture i posted of him does not do him justice at all. When I get some time i need to set up a webcam so i can check out the fish during the day from work. I'm at work right now and as you can tell I'm not really getting much work done...

Give the fish some time; its WAY too early to start worrying about him hiding and eating. This is only the 2nd day, some fish can take a week or more to settle in. Don't ever buy any anthias, they can really hold out and you'll have heart failure!:lol2:

I guess I have gotten spoiled with most of the fish I had purchased up to this point. Almost all of them began eating almost immediately. The only difference is that this is the largest fish I have bought. Usually I buy smaller fish and raise them myself. I also usually feed them brine shrimp. The fact that he is so big I can almost see him ignoring the small brine shrimp. He would need to eat at least 3 cubes all by himself. Its almost like he is wondering what these "dust" particles are floating around the tank...I'm going to try again tonight when I get home.

Well, he is finally eating. He was out last night swimming back and forth across the tank and for once didn't run and hide when I approached. When he saw me add food he went nuts going after it. I guess he is feeling a little more comfortable and I'm sure he was hungry after two days of not eating. He seems to be doing great and is getting along great with my other fish. Here are some pictures i was able to get last night.
