New Head Count

+1. Other than his message being in all caps, I agree with Aly. I think you just intimidated the poor sob. We may never hear from him again:wavehand:

Thanx ladybug & metweezer you are correct i was just saying hi. Im not that easily intimidated i was married twice lol Anyway i'll start over Hi all Johnnie ><)))0>

Hi Johnnie,
Welcome to Reef Central. :wavehand: So tell us a little bit about yourself. How long have you been in the hobby? What size/type of tank do you have and what do you have in it?
Steve

Thanx Steve; I had FWChiclids most of my life. After i moved here 2 & 1/2 years ago I got a 45 gal. tank set-up as a Christmas present. Seeing i always wanted a reef tank, i took the plunge :>) I have since upgraded to a 75 gal. tank with power compacts a wet/dry filter & a skimmer. I have about a 100 lbs. of live rock, several soft corals & a small clean up crew I want to upgrade to t5s soon, maybe a better filter. Whew thats a lotta typing for me. Thanx Johnnie ><)))0>

P.S. I also have a Bartlets Anthias and a damned Damsel thats way smarter than me. Ive been trying to remove, it but like I said.......... Johnnie ><)))0>

So many people buy a damsel only to pull their hair out to try and capture it. Some LFS's also recommend you to buy one to cycle your tank. Such a bad idea.
Where exactly is Roseland?

Its close to Sebastian which is between Melbourne & Vero Beach. The damsel was sold to me as a Yellow Chromis from a LFS thats no longer in business, turned out the owner was a real piece of sh** Johnnie ><)))0>

Ha ha... I just bought a fire samsel. But he is going in a fish only tank so if he becomes a PITA, then I can take him out quickly and effortlessly. Choprjohn, have you tried The Logical Reef in Vero Beach? Lee is a very nice and knowledgeable guy.

Aly,
I have been to Logical Reef. I bought a green birdsnest from Lee. It didn't survive. I don't think my lighting was suitable for it, even though he said it would be :sad2:
I go up to Vero every Tuesday.
Steve

No way would a birdsnest survive with that light. How long ago was that? The minute you see something not doing well, tell Lee about it and he will make it right. This, or course, is within reason. If you buy a coral and 2 weeks later it starts crapping out, I am sure Lee will tell you to bring it in and either nurse it back to health for you, or give you a credit. Now, if the same thing happens 6 months after your purchase, I don't think there is a LFS that will do anything about it. As a a matter of fact, if you have ever been to Cindy's in Vero, you may have noticed that they have a No Guarantee on anything saltwater.

Lee is a good guy. Talk to him and give him the chance to make it right. He's done it for me countless times (of course, I am a regular at his store).

Yah i like Lees also the store on Babcock. I wont mention any names...Dont wanna get yelled at again Johnnie ><)))0>

Welcome. We have a meeting tentatively set up for next month at a members house. Stay tuned for details. BTW I am Steve.
