Hi, Im starting a 10g tank just like the one JayB1224 is doing. My questions are:
1, Would a skimmer like the AquaC Remora nano work as a filter as well.
2. Would a 90 watt light be enough?
3. Would a white backround(using Krylon paint) work?
4. How many power heads should I use?
5. How many clownfish can I keep(percula)
-Jake

1. yes
2. if you just want to keep low-medium light corals, then yes
3.yes
4. 2 would be a good start
5. two fish max. Any more and you will be asking for trouble.

2 clownfish
why white background? try blue or black
2 maxi jets should work for flow
Are you keeping a coral? anemone for clowns..?

Yea I'll do black. I plan on adding an anemone later down the road once I get some experience. Probably a BTA.

I like your avatar Brian5280. Here is the next stupid Q: the color change mentioned above is on a glass tank or the inside plastic? I know it's stupid but I just wanted to make sure.

Here is the next stupid Q: the color change mentioned above is on a glass tank or the inside plastic?

It's on the outside of the glass on an all glass 10 gallon aquarium.
Not on the plastic on the back of a nano cube or some other all-in-one. Paint in the tank would kill everything.

Thought so but I have found out recently that I know nothing about my hobby and figure the only way to find out is to ask the dumb Q:

Does it make any difference at all to the fish if there is a solid color for a background? My 30 gal tall hex has no solid side, except the coral growing on the one side I don't clean.

Is leaving the calcium & coral growing on one side an okay thing? I noticed the heater has a good build up of calcium also, why? Do you think it prevents proper heating & should be cleaned regularly?
