Another thread indicated the magnet is weak and may not hold on tanks larger than 100gal. Anyone using these on a 150 or larger?

Ive been using 2 koralia 4's on my 125 since they were available,no issues so far.the suction cups help quite a bit i guess. The glass on my tank is 1/2".

I use them on a 180 and have no problems at all. The magnet is not as strong as the tunze, but it does the job just fine.

I actually removed the rubber part from the outside magnet and it seems stronger.

cheers!

If Tunze can't solve my wavebox-sounds-like-a-tank problem, I have options... between this, the Polario coming soon, the Maxi Streams. I can even go back to 2 streams on sea-swirls, or just leave the one and use a couple of these.

But, all things considered, I'm rooting for the replacement wavebox pump I'm getting to solve this.

BTW: if this Hydor thing is a DC motor, someone ought to be able to put this in a box, and figure a way to rig it to a Tunze controller.....

Not DC, These are AC. I just received mine today...Here are the Sink trials...

That is a 4-5" "Rooster Tail", and no discernible vortex. If I ever get a boat...I'm going skiing.

OK, update... the place I ordered the two #2's were out of stock, order canceled.

Ordered two #3's instead from Premium Aquatics.

Still going to mod the MJ900s and see if I can blow goldfish out of my pond, though. :p

I recieved my pair of 4s today. All I can say is AWSOME. They have more disperse flow than the sieos. The 4s are smaller than my 1500 sieos and quarter of the weight. I am going to order two #3s for the front of my 90gal. I can't wait till they come out with the controller. I will be all over that. The Sieo line will be extinct once more reefers get these babies. I almost forgot how quite they run. If you need flow in your tank then these Hydor pump are what you want. I could not be happier.

I just installed a k4 in my 90 today along with the vor-tech and I have news for you guys...
The korolias are serious PUMPS! Better order the right ones the first time cause these puppies put out more flow than you imagine.

I bought it off Neublian, who said it had more flow than he needed, that was an understatement to say the least.

In all honesty, it performs on par with the vor-tech (no kidding), it just doesn't have a flow adjuster like the vor-tech, but for value and performance it plain ole kicks _ss!...

I can't compare it to a tunze as I never had experience with one, but if a vor-tech is comparable to a tunze by any stretch, I'd save lots of money cause all I'd need are these hydor korolias, they are in fact that good...

My elegance coral began closing up, so I had to unplug the k4 and I'm gonna have to put it on a timer. I'm really surprised at the output of this little monster! The flow is so strong that even the sides that are not directly or indirectly in the flow are being blasted, my hammers also tightened up..."be careful what you wish for." I'm telling ya...

ostrow late on the reply but my glass is 5/8" thick and ya the magnet is weak, but it works on my 150 with no problems what so ever. They are 4's as well, and have to say best bang for the buck I have bought so far.

I put the pair of 3s that I ordered from the Drs. back in January. They flow a fair amount of water, but they're NOISY! They both buzz and make a hell of a racket. The noise may not bother some, but as the rest of my system is dead silent, these things have to go. Anyone else had a noise problem with these?

Mine are silent, must be a fluke..."hydor did have a recall on #2's and 3's" maybe that was the reason. "CHECK IT OUT!"
