New Ideas we can start now to get the Club name out...

how about adding a list of the stores on the excel spreadsheet, placed on the back of the post cards. The stores would be getting free advertisement and may be more willing to keep these post cards in there business. Or at leat have the stores on the postcard that are the most popular, the stores in bold.

I have shopped in all of the most popular stores, and even though they are popular w/ us we are not popular w/ them(not meaning disliked). I have never heard of FMAS in any LFS, only reef central, particularly the stores in miami dade county. They know reef central exists but not fmas. just my opinion.

No, but I'll look into it. Do they do embroided shirts?

No they don't. Just screen print. We use a local shop for the embroider. I'm sure there are 100's down here.

Maybe we can have a tshirt design contest among the members.

I would pay $35 for a real good quality golf shirt with the club logo on it

can't hurt to see the talent our members have and see if something amazing and new is comes up

New ideas are welcome for the shirt, but I think the old logo will prevail.

Update on some of the ideas that I gave earlier in the thread.

I wish the actual meeting for Nov. was earlier so that we could actually collect the can goods and then deliver them. It seems that it would be a hassle to bring in canned goods to a LFS when they are going there unless they are a regular. Most people just go to random LFSs to see and look around so they wouldn't really remember.

As for the Toy donation, my girlfriend had told me that Toys R Us will match whatever we purchase/donate. Basically a buy one get one free... THAT IS AWSOME! I plan on donating a few toys so that they would have to match... means more enjoyment for the kiddies. Some of us knows how it feels to be a little child and get nothing while other children are getting spoiled rotten. Its sad when you think about it.

I am still willing to help out with the food donations. I guess the idea of it is still floating around, just need to nail it down and work on it now.

Yup, we just need to discuss it at the Board meeting as we talked about. Are you going to be able to make it?

I doubt I will be able to make it, is it possible that you can take some notes on it and let me know whats going on?

We can discuss it, I was planning on having you there to input your ideas though. This may be something we need to remember for next year and start it a little earlier.

This is good, but the advertising of the club name seems to be more of the concern as I reread the thread. I mean getting the name out is great and all, but keep in mind this is for the needy. Most of us are very fourtunate to have tanks and do what we love best, but others can't even afford food and so on.

Some ideas I wanted to throw out because I will probably not be able to make it tomorrow.

- Pick 3-4 LFSs to place drop off boxes (3-4 each in broward and dade)
- Have a list of the drop off places on another thread (free advertisement)
- Ask the LFSs to either donate cash/corals to the club, after all they will be getting more business due to the advertisement

That is all I can think of, the address of LFSs on back of the FMAS cards are a bit too much for what we are trying to accomplish. All we need to do is set up a box and maybe a nice sign with our club on it. We can even have a container or something to hold our club cards.
